What the men don't know can't hurt them

Who: Sara and Sofia
Where: At home, then the restaurant
When: A night or two after the BBQ

Sara stood in front of the mirror, performing a final check. She and Sofia were going out to the Thai place she wanted to go, and although it wasn't fancy, she'd tried to make an effort for her. She'd put on a simple black dress and a pair of strappy heels that showed off her legs, done her hair and applied a little make up.

When she was ready she went in search of Sofia. "You ready?" she asked her, smiling.

"I know," She replied, reaching under the table to gently pat her knee. "He has so much fun too though, with Dad." She smiled.

"He does," Sara agreed with a nod and a smile. "Your father enjoys it and Aiden's going to be glad to have that bond later in life," she said, before blushing.

"We said we wouldn't talk about him."

"That's true," She replied with a little chuckle. "One last comment? I'm really glad they have that bond." She patted her knee gently once more.

"Now baby, lets have a look at what we want to eat," She took hold of her menu, opening it up.

"Me too," Sara agreed before turning her attention to her menu. The food here really did look good. They even had a large vegetarian selection, which was great for Sara. "Sharing?" she asked her.
5th-Feb-2009 08:56 pm (UTC)
"Sure thing," She smiled at her. She loved it when they did that. It felt far more intimate.
5th-Feb-2009 08:59 pm (UTC)
"Do you know what you're picking for your one?" she asked with a smile.
5th-Feb-2009 09:07 pm (UTC)
She looked the menu over for a moment then nodded, smiling over at her. "Thai Tempura with salad." She replied.
6th-Feb-2009 03:39 am (UTC)
"Ooh, yum," Sara smiled. "Good choice, Sof." She continued to look over the menu before looking back up at her wife. "How about the vegetarian pad thai?" she suggested.

"Sounds delicious," She replied, resting her menu down. Well, that was easy!
6th-Feb-2009 07:23 am (UTC)
"You know," Sara said, smiling at Sofia. "I read a study done on heterosexual couples that states that a guy is 75% more likely to get lucky if he suggests ordering dessert," she informed her.
6th-Feb-2009 07:25 am (UTC)
"But I'm not a guy," She replied with a little smirk. "And we both know we're going to get dessert. Both here, and at home. When was the last time you saw me eat, without having some sort of dessert to follow?" She asked playfully.

She turned the menu over to look at the dessert menu, little grin on her face.
6th-Feb-2009 07:27 am (UTC)
Sara chuckled. "I don't think they meant you ordering dessert just for yourself," she told Sofia. "And what makes you so sure I'm putting out tonight?" she asked her quietly enough that nobody else could hear.
6th-Feb-2009 07:31 am (UTC)
"If I'm getting one, you are," She replied with a grin. That was how it worked, normally.

"Oh, nothing sure. Just wishful thinking, perhaps?" She suggested with playfully pursed lips. "Thai Mango Sticky Rice Dessert," She added, picking her own. "What about you?"
6th-Feb-2009 07:34 am (UTC)
"Mango's almost as bad as banana, and you know how much I love kissing you when you've eaten that," Sara told her playfully.

She turned her own menu over to have a look. "I'm thinking maybe the coconut pancakes," she said.
6th-Feb-2009 07:36 am (UTC)
She laughed quietly and looked at the menu again. "Different choice then," She chuckled. "Sticky rice layer cake sounds just as sickly..." and they both knew Sofia had a sweet tooth.
